A National Championship run rests on the arm of Clemson football quarterback Trevor Lawrence and his ability to get the job done for the Tigers.

Clemson football has already proven that it can win a game with the rushing attack being the dominant force or the passing attack being most dominant.

As we head into the CFB Playoff, though, one thing is clear: Trevor Lawrence is going to be a huge key for Clemson and a National Championship run.

For the Tigers to have a chance at winning a National Championship, Lawrence is going to have play his best football. It’s not necessarily that the Tigers need Lawrence to be perfect, but they’ll definitely need him to make some plays down the stretch and refrain from turning the ball over or making simple mistakes.

He’s not a freshman anymore…

I know we talk about Trevor Lawrence as if he’s still the freshman that came into the Clemson football program back in January.

But, we have to realize that was a year ago.

He’s been in the system. He knows how things work. Lawrence has been the leader and quarterback of this offense now for nine games. He’s played in 13.

The College Football Playoff will prove to be the next step in his career development. I’m interested in seeing how Lawrence performs and if he’s ready for the biggest stage of them all.

Trevor Lawrence isn’t going to back down from a challenge and he knows that the team will be counting on him to show up and make plays as he has all season.

He’ll be playing against a tougher defense in Notre Dame compared to most defenses this season and it’ll be time for him to rise to the occasion.

A National Championship run rests on the arm of Trevor Lawrence and, in my opinion, he’s ready to put the Tigers in position to bring back that coveted title.
