The Clemson football team dominated Pittsburgh in the ACC Championship game Saturday night in Charlotte, winning its fourth-straight conference title.

Clemson football defeated Pittsburgh 42-10 in the ACC Championship game Saturday night in Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

With the win, the Tigers picked up their fourth-straight conference title, becoming the first team to ever win four straight ACC titles outright.

It was a rain-soaked night, but a night that most Tiger fans won’t forget.

Clemson was able to weather the storm, even looking out of sorts a little bit early, and just dominated the game. The team took control and allowed the talent of the depth chart to show as the game progressed.

Analysis:

Travis Etienne was named the ACC Championship MVP, rushing 12 times for 156 yards and two touchdowns.

Trevor Lawrence completed 12-of-24 passing attempts for 118 yards and two touchdowns, both to Tee Higgins. Lawrence had a few receivers drop passes and the rain certainly didn’t help the passing game either.

Justyn Ross led Clemson receiving with two catches for 70 yards, including that flea flicker that almost went for a touchdown.

It was a game where the Tigers were just clearly the better team. They took control of the game from the first play of the game and never looked back.

What’s next?

With the win, Clemson has pretty much locked up a spot in the College Football Playoff. The Tigers will most likely join Alabama, Notre Dame and Oklahoma in the playoff field.

Most likely, I think we’ll see Oklahoma be put in as that No. 4 seed and the Sooners will play Alabama, the No. 1 seed. Clemson, as the No. 2 seed, will take on Notre Dame, as the No. 3 seed.

We will have to wait until later Sunday to know for sure, but that’s what we should see when the committee releases its final rankings and gives us the playoff field.
