Clemson football will close out the 2018 regular season with a matchup with in-state rival South Carolina. Here are the early Vegas odds on the game.

The Clemson football team finished out regular-season play in conference with a 35-6 win over the Duke Blue Devils at home.

Now, the Tigers have turned their complete attention to in-state rival South Carolina.

The annual rivalry game will be televised live on ESPN at 7 p.m. Clemson will be looking to go five-in-a-row against the Gamecocks.

The spread certainly favors the Tigers heading into the matchup. Here are the early Vegas odds for the annual Palmetto Bowl.

Clemson Football Spread Prediction:

Opening Line: Clemson -25

Analysis:

The oddsmakers are leaning heavily toward the Tigers in this one, and for good reason. Clemson enters the rivalry game as a 25-point favorite.

The Gamecocks have struggled all season, but have looked a bit improved as of late. They allowed Florida to come back and beat them, but they’ve definitely seen some positive signs.

Even with that being said, I just don’t think South Carolina has the talent or depth to match up with Clemson on the football field.

I will give my official pick against the spread for the game later this week, but I can say that I’m leaning towards taking the points in favor of the Tigers right now.

As long as the Tigers come out focused and prepared to play, they’re going to win the game. That spread may be a bit high, but I’d certainly lean toward taking it at this point.

Next. What went right, what went wrong vs. Duke?. dark

It should be interesting to see how Trevor Lawrence performs against the Gamecocks. We all know how dominant the defense has been this entire season and I think that’ll continue Saturday. It will be up to the offense to come out with some consistency and get on the board.
