Clemson football will travel up to Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts to take on the Boston College Eagles Saturday. Here’s the early Vegas odds for the matchup.

The Clemson football team will travel up to take on the Boston College Eagles Saturday evening in a game that will be featured on ESPN College GameDay.

The Tigers are coming off a huge 77-16 victory over the Louisville Cardinals this past weekend.

Here’s the early Vegas odds for the game against Boston College.

Clemson Football: Odds vs. Boston College

Opening Line: Boston College +17.5

Analysis:

The game has opened up with a 17.5 point spread. I think it’s interesting because right now we’re not really even sure how healthy AJ Dillon, Boston College’s best player, is. Dillon tweaked his ankle last week against Virginia Tech and there’s a shot that he may not even play this week.

At the very least, he’ll be playing at less than a 100 percent.

Clemson is also coming off four-straight games of beating opponents (Wake Forest, NC State, Florida State and Louisville) by much more than the spread of each individual matchup.

There are a couple of factors that may go against the Tigers:

  1. The weather
  2. The atmosphere

I don’t really think either of these will really play a huge part in the game. It will be an 8 p.m. start, though, and that will mean we see temperatures drop in the 30s. Sometimes those cold temperatures can make it hard to throw the ball.

Also, with the game featured on ESPN College GameDay, you know that you’ll get the best effort from both the Boston College players and athletes.

Even with that being said, though, I just think the Tigers are the better team. It should be an interesting game and we will give you our pick against the spread later this week, but right now I can tell you that I’m heavily favoring Clemson football in that spread.
