Clemson football absolutely destroyed Louisville Saturday afternoon in Death Valley. The Tigers are destined for a date with the CFB Playoff.

Can you remember the last time a Clemson football team was trying to get touchdowns for coach’s kids, having three 100-plus yard rushers who each had less than 10 carries, or letting defensive tackles score touchdowns?

No? That’s because it’s never happened.

The things that Clemson football is doing is unprecedented. We’re seeing Dexter Lawrence get carries. We’re seeing Lyn-J Dixon come in during the fourth quarter and finish the day with 100-plus yards rushing.

It’s not just a one-time thing, either.

Of course all those things happened Saturday when Clemson defeated Louisville 77-16, but for the last four games, the Tigers have just completely eviscerated opponents.

CFB Playoff Destiny…

The more and more this team improves, the more I think they could be the best in Clemson football history.

You’ve got a talented freshman quarterback. You’ve got a stable of running backs who are completely capable of getting the job done. You’ve got a historically dominant defense, especially on the defensive line.

I just don’t see anyone standing in the way of a berth in the College Football Playoff and eventual shot at the National Championship.

In my opinion, there’s only one team in the nation that can compete with Clemson and that’s Alabama.

The Tigers are just too deep and they are too focused right now to be beaten by anyone remaining on their schedule barring injury. It seems that they are coming out with the motto of “leaving no doubt.”

I think this team wants to make sure that they give every effort possible to make this season one to remember.

dark. Next. Clemson destroys Louisville: Analysis

They’ve certainly done it so far and they’ve still got plenty to improve upon. That’s the scary thing, in my opinion. This team hasn’t even come close to scratching the surface of its true potential. Give them a few more weeks and we’re going to see something really special.

This has been a fun season so far and it’s not over yet.
