Clemson football will take on the Florida State Seminoles Saturday in Tallahassee. Here’s the updated Vegas odds for the match up.

The Clemson football team will head to Tallahassee with an undefeated 7-0 record.

Normally, a trip to Tallahassee spells trouble for the Tigers. Normally, we’re talking about the possibility of ESPN College GameDay for this match up. Normally, this game is broadcasted in prime time and is a College Football Playoff elimination game and the ACC Atlantic Division-deciding match up.

Not this year, though.

Besides the 2016 season, I can’t really remember the last time that Clemson football was favored heading down to Tallahassee. The Tigers were just a 4.5-point favorite then.

This year, the spread is just a bit more.

Clemson Football Early Vegas Odds:

Current Spread: Florida State +16

Thoughts:

This game opened up as a 17-point spread and quickly dropped to 16 in just a day. The trend, as far as money goes, is on Florida State.

I guess people believe that the Seminoles will keep it close at home.

I do believe that Florida State has the best athletes that Clemson will face the rest of the season. But, their offensive line is atrocious and their defense has just been average.

Yes, they looked good at home against Wake Forest, but so did Clemson and the Tigers’ game was on the road.

In the end, I just don’t think that Florida State has the depth or the will to compete with Clemson. If you give them any life, they could keep it close for a little while. But if the Tigers come out early and get a couple of scores, this one will be over before it really even starts.

It also won’t help the Seminoles that Willie Taggart is saying things like how his defensive line is just as good as Clemson’s.

dark. Next. Final Report Cards vs. NC State

We’ll give you our spread prediction later this week, but I can tell you right now that I certainly favor Clemson football in this one, especially if that number keeps dropping.
