The Clemson football team took care of business Saturday afternoon with an impressive 41-7 victory over NC State.

Clemson football showed up this Saturday with one thing on its mind: Dominating the NC State Wolfpack from start-to-finish.

The Tigers did just that.

Clemson finished of the Wolfpack with an impressive 41-7 victory over NC State and, with the win, improved to 7-0 on the season and am now in complete control of the ACC Atlantic as a result.

In the first half, the defense completely dominated the Wolfpack, holding NC State to just 100 yards of total offense.

Ryan Finley was never able to get in any kind of a rhythm against the Tiger defense and that showed Saturday as NC State was only able to muster seven points

In the first half, the defense completely dominated the Wolfpack, holding NC State to just 100 yards of total offense.

Ryan Finley was never able to get in any kind of a rhythm against the Tiger defense and that showed Saturday as NC State was only able to muster seven points, and those points came in the fourth quarter.

Analysis:

NC State’s defense made it a point to stuff the Tiger rushing attack. Travis Etienne was never able to reel off any big runs and averaged just 2.6 yards per carry, but he still scored three touchdowns.

The Wolfpack wanted to force Trevor Lawrence to beat them through the air and he did just that. Lawrence finished the day 26-of-39 for 308 yards passing and a touchdown.

I was really impressed with the Tigers’ focus.

They came out ready to go from the start and took care of business against a team that was ranked No. 16 in the nation.

Clemson will travel to Florida State at 12 p.m. next Saturday. The Seminoles have not looked good so far, but the Tigers will still need to come out focused.
