Clemson Football: Could the Tigers’ remaining home games be at noon?
Could every single remaining home game for Clemson football be at noon for the rest of the season? It’s certainly a possibility.
Clemson football fans better get ready for some early Saturdays here in the midst of October and November as the second half of the regular season gets underway.
The Tigers have four remaining home games left this season: vs. NC State (Oct. 20); vs. Louisville (Nov. 3); vs. Duke (Nov. 17); and vs. South Carolina (Nov. 24).
The game this Saturday against the Wolfpack will be at 3:30 p.m. That one may very well be one of the only games- home or away- that will kickoff after noon for the rest of the season.
It was announced Monday afternoon that the Florida State game down in Tallahassee will be at noon.
The truth of the matter is that we’re going to see a lot of noon games for the rest of the season, home and away.
But, when you look at that remaining home slate following NC State, I’m not sure any of those games are shaping up to be anything but noon games. The best options for a 3:30 p.m. game would be Duke or South Carolina in November, but neither one of those teams will be ranked coming into the match up.
I don’t see any possibilities for night games in the last three games in Death Valley.
Even when you look at the road games, they aren’t really all that impressive. Clemson travels to Florida State next Saturday- a game that has already been announced as a nooner. The Tigers travel to Boston College on Nov. 10 for the final road game of the season. That may be considered for a night slot if both teams continue to win, but to me it seems more likely that the Eagles and Tigers will play at 3:30 p.m.
Clemson football fans better get ready to wake up early here in the second half of the season. There’s a shot that we don’t see anything but noon games from here on out and if there is a 3:30 p.m. game, it very well may only be one or two.
