Clemson football quarterback Trevor Lawrence returned to practice Monday evening and it seems that everything is good for him going forward.

Clemson football starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence suffered an injury Saturday afternoon when the Tigers took on Syracuse in Death Valley.

The game was Lawrence’s first career start, but he was unable to come back in the game after suffering what appeared to be a head injury in the second quarter.

The official report was “concussion-like symptoms,” but he was feeling better Saturday and Sunday.

Dabo Swinney updated the status of Lawrence’s injury Monday evening and said that the freshman gunslinger was able to return to practice and that he played every single snap in practice. Swinney then added that he didn’t expect any players from his team to have to sit out Saturday when the Tigers take on Wake Forest.

"“He took every snap tonight and looked great and feels great,” Swinney said on his Monday night radio show via Tigernet. “That’s a big blessing for us. His neck is not quite as sore. He was pretty sore on Sunday but everything checked out OK. He was back out there and took all the reps. Looked good.”"

“It’s a blessing…”

It was very big news Monday evening to hear that Lawrence was okay and that he should be able to return to action Saturday.

Any extended time missed by him would be a detriment to the team, although Chase Brice proved he was very capable in the fourth quarter of the Syracuse game last week.

In the end, though, it will be good for the Tigers to get the whole crew back out on the field as we try to see that offense progress some heading into the bye week and middle of the season.

It will be important for the offensive line to look out for Lawrence the rest of the season and I really think we’ll see a more polished offensive attack against the Demon Deacons. It’s officially Trevor Lawrence’s team and we’re going to see the offense, in my opinion, get in sync over this game and then the next couple when the Tigers return from the bye week.
