Hurricane Florence has impacted several games around the nation, but here are our spread predictions for College Football week three.

Unfortunately, Hurricane Florence has forced some changes and cancellations to the original Week 3 College Football season.

With that being said, there are still plenty of great games on slate for Saturday.

Last week, we finished with a 3-2 record on spread picks, putting our overall record at 7-3 on the year. For those picks, we were correct on Ohio State +28 vs. Rutgers; Stanford -5.5 vs. USC; and Kentucky +14 against Florida. Unfortunately, Pitt couldn’t keep the game with 8.5 against Penn State and South Carolina got blown out against Georgia.

Here are Rubbing the Rock’s Week 3 Spread Picks for College Football. Just like the first two weeks, we pick five of the most prominent games.

  • LSU at Auburn

Current Spread: Auburn -10

Spread Prediction:

This is a tough week of games to pick. We don’t pick the five games we feel most comfortable about, but rather five of the most prominent games. To me, I could see this game going either way. Auburn is at home, so it’s clear that they should be the favorite. I’m going to take LSU plus the points, but I don’t feel good about it.

  • Ohio State vs. TCU in Arlington

Current Spread: Ohio State -12

Spread Prediction:

The problem this early in the season is that we’re still not sure what teams really are and what they aren’t. Ohio State will still be without Urban Meyer, but the Buckeyes certainly have the athletes to beat TCU.

TCU, led by coach Gary Patterson, will be looking to upset the Buckeyes early in the season. I’m just not sure that this is the Horned Frogs of the past couple of years. They’re missing some key pieces and I think that leads to an Ohio State victory and I’ll take the Buckeyes to cover.

  • Washington at Utah

Current Spread: Utah +5

Spread Prediction:

There were a lot of people high on Washington to begin the year, but have since cooled off on the Huskies after they lost to Auburn. The truth is, Washington should have won that game. They made a ton of mistakes and weren’t helped by the refs either. To me, though, Jake Browning just isn’t the same as what he used to be.

I’m picking Utah to not only cover the spread, but to win the game straight-up.

  • Boise State at Oklahoma State

Current Spread: Oklahoma State -2.5

Spread Prediction:

This game could go either way, in my opinion. I’m going to take Boise State to win the game straight-up because I’m just not sold on Oklahoma State and their lack of defense.

  • USC at Texas

Current Spread: Texas -3

Spread Prediction:

Here’s a game that is a battle of programs who used to mean something. Both Texas and Southern Cal are two of the biggest College Football programs in the country, but neither have mean anything to the nation for quite some time.

I expect this to be an ugly game, but I’m going to pick the Longhorns to win and cover the spread. But, it won’t be by much more than three points, mind you.

Next. Braden Galloway could become a major part of the offense. dark

Bottom Line:

We are 7-3 through two weeks. Here’s our picks for week three.

  • LSU +10 vs. Auburn
  • Ohio State -12 vs. TCU
  • Utah +5 vs. Washington
  • Boise State +2.5 vs. Oklahoma State
  • Texas -3 vs. USC
