The Clemson football team will return home to take on Georgia Southern Saturday afternoon. Here are the early Vegas odds for the match up.

After escaping College Station with a two-point victory, Clemson football will return home for a match up with the Georgia Southern Eagles this weekend.

The game should give the Tigers a chance to work on a few improvements as they prepare for the rest of the season.

Especially, we’ll be looking to see how the secondary performs after getting torched a week ago and we’ll also be looking to see how the quarterbacks continue to rotate and perform, even against a lower FBS team in the middle of September.

Here are the early Vegas odds for the match up this weekend.

Early Vegas Odds vs. Georgia Southern:

Spread: Clemson -34

Over/Under: N/A

Early Thoughts:

Clemson football is a clear favorite in the game and for good reason. The Tigers will be returning home and looking to fix several mistakes from a game ago.

Right now, Vegas doesn’t have an over/under on the game, but they do have Clemson as a 34-point favorite.

Georgia Southern beat SC State 37-6 to open the season and UMass 34-13 last week. The Eagles have a chance to compete and at the very least upset a couple of top teams in the Sun Belt, but with the likes of Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina and Troy in their division, they’re probably a couple of years away from being able to really compete for the conference.

Overall, it should be a game that the Tigers are able to get out to an early lead and play a lot of players as a result. I’m interested to see what kind of freshmen, other than Trevor Lawrence, can win some playing time in this game that leads to more playing time for the rest of the season.
