The Clemson football team will take on the Texas A&M Aggies Saturday evening. Here is our pick against the spread for the match up.

After opening up the season with a win against Furman, Clemson football will head down to College Station to take on the Texas A&M Aggies.

The game will be televised on ESPN and featured as the game of the week on ESPN College GameDay.

That means we’ll have the chance to see Lee Corso put on the Tiger head in front of thousands of Aggie faithful Saturday, which should be a fun sight.

Here is our pick against the spread for the match up, via OddsShark.com.

Clemson Football Spread Prediction:

Current Spread: Texas A&M +12

Spread Prediction:

When the line opened up, Clemson was a 12.5-point favorite. Since then, the spread has fallen to 12, which means a little more of the money was going on Texas A&M than the Tigers.

When I look at this game, I’m not completely sure what to expect. I could see a situation where the Tigers completely blow out the Aggies. I could also see a situation where the game is close for the entire game.

In the end, though, I think Clemson takes around a touchdown lead into halftime and then takes over the game in the third quarter. The game will end up being something like 31-17 or 35-21.

I predict that the Tigers beat the spread and find a way to win the game by two full touchdowns.

Current Over/Under: 54

Over/Under Prediction:

The over/under on this game is even harder to predict than the spread because I just don’t know what to expect from the Clemson offense.

If the Tigers get in the 30s and Texas A&M in the mid-teens, we’re looking at a total score less than 50. However, if we see Kelly Bryant and Co. “go off,” we could see them end up scoring more than 40 on their own.

In the end, though, I’m going to take the “under.” The Tigers only scored 48 against Furman at home. I think that number goes down this week on the road and I really believe Clemson’s defense will hold Texas A&M to less than 20 points.

Bottom Line:

  • We’re taking the Tigers to cover the 12.5
  • We’re taking the “under.”
