Clemson football officials announced Wednesday that the Tigers will play a home-and-home series against the LSU Tigers in the future.

Clemson football officials announced that the Tigers will be playing a home-and-home series with the LSU Tigers in the future.

There were several reports over the last couple of weeks that the series would happen, but we really didn’t know how it would take shape. Many speculated that the two would simply play a neutral-site game. Others thought that the two would play a home-and-home series in the extended future.

The second group was correct.

Clemson will host LSU on Aug. 30, 2025. The Tigers will then host Troy the following week. Both of the games were announced Wednesday.

Clemson will travel to Baton Rouge the following year, on Sept. 5, 2026, to take on LSU and complete the series.

What does this mean?

This is a huge announcement for Clemson football. Despite seeing most College Football programs push for one-game neutral-site series, Clemson continues to schedule home-and-homes with some of the top programs in the country.

We’ve heard that the Tigers are working on a Georgia series and there have even been rumors that we could see Clemson take on Tennessee at some point in the non-conference.

This particular series will be a lot of fun, in my opinion. It will be tagged “The Battle of the Real Death Valley.” But, of course, we already know from history that the real Death Valley is indeed located in Clemson, South Carolina.

Next. Who will start at cornerback in 2018?. dark

I definitely can say, though, that I’m looking forward to visiting Tiger Stadium. I think both games will have a crazy atmosphere and will highlight the beginning of the College Football season. It will be interesting to see how both of the programs progress over the years, especially when we get closer to the actual games being played.
