Clemson football freshman QB Trevor Lawrence is adjusting to the College game. According to the coaches, he will be ready to play a ton this fall.

The biggest question surrounding Clemson football circles in 2018 is the quarterback situation.

The Tigers have senior and returning starter Kelly Bryant going up against the 5-star freshman phenom Trevor Lawrence.

Lawrence showed up and showed out in the spring game, which only helped amplify the QB competition talks throughout the summer.

Now that we’re in fall camp, all eyes have been on the quarterbacks.

The Tigers are through just three practices, but Lawrence is already adjusting to the College game.

Ready to play…

When the coaches talk about Lawrence, they talk about him as if he’s not a freshman. He’s that good.

Swinney talked about the quarterback competition Monday night and said that Lawrence has adjusted nicely.

He said that Lawrence came in and had to adjust a bit to what throws he could or couldn’t make. Now, according to Swinney, Lawrence is learning and getting better in every facet of the game each and every day.

It sounds a lot like another freshman phenom we got to know about four years ago. (CC: Deshaun Watson).

When I watch Lawrence play or go through drills, it’s clear to me that he is ready for the College game. He will make some freshmen mistakes at times. Every now and then, Lawrence may make a wrong read or force the ball into a tight window, but the good will certainly outweigh the bad.

In my opinion, he just doesn’t know how to be average. He’s just like Deshaun Watson.

Both of those guys will take their licks. But, they’re able to get back up, shake off the mistake and come back better than before.

dark. Next. How will new kickoff rule affect Clemson?

I’m excited to see how Lawrence performs this year and what the quarterback competition looks like as we get a month into the season and he has a few games under his belt.
