ESPN Analyst attempts to jab Clemson football, but falls flat on his face
ESPN analyst Greg McElroy decided he would go off the deep end and say that Clemson football didn’t care about winning. But, he does believe that TAMU does.
By now, everyone has heard what ESPN analyst Greg McElroy said on the show College Football Live.
McElroy took a jab at Clemson football, insisting that players only go to Tiger Town to play put-put. He included Florida State in that line of thinking, as well.
However, according to McElroy, if a recruit wants to win games, they need to go to Alabama, Georgia or Texas A&M.

"“I think it just depends on the player and that is the beauty of college football,” he said. “It’s what you are into. If you want to go to a place that is going to have Putt-Putt and great music at practice and you want to have fun in the week leading up to the game, then you can go to places like Florida State or Clemson. If you want to go to a place that is all about winning, all about X’s and O’s, all about trying to define what the values of the organization are there are places like that for you. Like Alabama, like Texas A&M, like Georgia. I think there is something for everybody.”"
The fun is in the winning…
Look, if you say that Clemson football doesn’t care about winning, you obviously don’t watch football or you have a hidden agenda.
Any sliver of an argument that McElroy had went out the window when he mentioned Texas A&M. Yes, the mighty Aggie program that just finished 7-6 cares so much more about winning than Clemson does.
The truth is that McElroy seems a bit fearful to me.
He doesn’t like the fact that recruits can go to Clemson, have fun and win compared to Alabama where they have to follow Napoleon Nick Saban around.
I think McElroy needs to be concerned by the fact that his program hasn’t had a quarterback have any success in the NFL in years.

I may be wrong. Maybe he’s not afraid at all. Maybe he just likes to say idiotic things for the fun of it. Either way, I think any person with any kind of a football brain can see that Clemson loves just as much about winning as Alabama, Georgia or even Texas A&M.
The same can be said about Florida State.
