25. Jacoby Ford

Jacoby Ford might have been the fastest player to ever don a Clemson football uniform.

Ford, a track champion, was just flat-out faster than everyone else on the team. Although he was a bit undersized for a wide receiver, he made up for it with athleticism.

I know we said that we didn’t include “specialists” on the list, but I do think that it should be noted that Jacoby Ford was special in the return game. Whether it was a kick or punt return, he could make things happen.

He also was able to be a key blocker for CJ Spiller on kick returns when the ball didn’t go to him. It’s a pretty big advantage to have a guy with lightning-quick speed blocking in front of you.

Ford bounced around the NFL, playing for the Oakland Raiders for a few seasons before ending up in the Canadian Football League.
