5. A Top-Three Defense in the Nation

Really, I should say the “top defense in the nation.” But, we’re trying to be reasonable here.

There’s no reason to believe that the Tigers should be anything less than phenomenal on the defensive side of the ball.

I expect that this team is able to be among the nation’s leaders in sacks, points given up, forced turnovers and yardage.

Statistically, this will be the best defense Clemson football has boasted since 2014. This team is deep and has talent at every position and they’ll without a doubt finish in the top-three in the nation in total defense.
