A very important target for the 2019 Clemson football recruiting class is set to announce his decision this week. Here’s our analysis and quick thoughts.

The 2019 Clemson football class is already shaping up to be very good.

The Tigers are currently top-three in 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings and are still looking to a dd a couple more key targets before it’s all said and done.

One of the targets left on Clemson football’s board is 3-star QB Brendon Clark.

Clark, a former Wake Forest commit, reopened up his recruitment a couple of months ago and has since become enamored with Clemson.

The Tigers will join a group composed of Notre Dame, North Carolina, and Virginia Tech.

A Solid Pro-Style QB…

When I watch Clark play, I am very impressed by what he is able to do. He is a solid passer of the football and really knows the game well.

He throws a really good ball and has a chance, in my opinion, to be a very good player at the next level.

When Clark runs the ball, he’s not going to blow anyone away with his speed, but he is very shifty. He is able to see down the field and use his blockers to gain the most efficient yardage.

Clark would be a great pickup for Clemson football, especially with the Tigers looking for a little bit of depth heading into next season. Clemson already has one commitment for this class in 4-star Taisun Phommachanh.

Right now, I’d say that Notre Dame is the heavy favorite to win Clark’s services.

If he did choose to come to Clemson, though, it would definitely give the Tigers that much-needed depth and help them as they try to build up scholarships back at that QB position following an unprecedented three transfers (Tucker Israel, Zerrick Cooper, and Hunter Johnson) in the past couple of months.

In addition to Clark’s decision, Spencer Lytle- a 4-star LB target- will announce what school he intends to attend on August 4.
