As we head into summer, many publications will be analyzing teams across the nation. Here is Athlon Sport’s prediction for Clemson football in 2018.

Memorial Day is over and that, for many, marks the beginning of summer.

Of course, you can wait until the official summer solstice or maybe you’re waiting for high schools to be officially done. Either way, I think we all can agree that a “summer vibe” is certainly in the air, especially after Memorial Day.

Summer marks the beginning of the official “College Football Preview Season.”

Over the next couple of months, publications will be releasing their official previews of the 2018 season. They will be analyzing ever facet of the College Football field heading into August. We will be doing much of the same with Clemson football.

With that being said, Athlon Sports released their 2018 preview and prediction for Clemson football.

A Likely Prediction…

Athlon Sports mentioned a plethora of talented players that they believe will make a difference for Clemson in 2018.

The normal names, guys like Tee Higgins, Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne and Kelly Bryant, made the list.

Interestingly enough, Athlon Sports predicts that the Tigers will finish first in the ACC Atlantic and No. 2 in the nation. They end their prediction by saying that “Alabama-Clemson Part IV sounds fun.”

I think they’re pretty much spot-on with their analysis and prediction. Now, I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to notice how good Clemson is this year either. I would expect that the vast majority of publications will have the Tigers either No. 1 or No. 2 in the nation and the favorite to win the ACC.

Clemson is stacked on the defensive line and has plenty of talent in that front-seven to shut down opposing offenses. On offense, the Tigers have a ton of skill position talent and several experienced guys on the offensive line.
