Clemson football head coach Dabo Swinney visited Cleveland Monday night to watch LeBron James and company take on the Toronto Raptors.

Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney made a trip up to the city of Cleveland Monday night to watch LeBron James and company, well really LeBron James, take on the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Playoffs.

James has been an athletic phenomenon this series, basically willing the Cavaliers to an Eastern Conference Finals.

Swinney, just like a lot of other basketball fans, wanted to see the action live.

Here’s a picture of Dabo taking a picture at The Q before tipoff Monday night:

Greats respect other Greats

I think Dabo has great respect for LeBron James. It’s true that winners are attracted to other winners and this is probably no different.

While I’m sure Swinney had some fun up in Ohio- a place that Dabo has completely owned- there was probably some work aspect to it as well.

Either way, it’s great to see coach taking some time to watch a basketball game in a state that he has done nothing but given grief.

I’m sure that many of the fans up at The Q wished that Dabo was joining Ohio State, but I think it all goes back to “greats respect other greats.”

I have a respect for what Urban Meyer has done at Ohio State and I think that Buckeyes fans respect what Clemson has done down here. At least they should.

Swinney and his coaching staff will release a Post-Spring Depth Chart in the coming weeks, but he won’t be able to do much with his team on-the-field until fall camp. The All-In Cookout is still set for this summer and there’s still plenty of recruiting to be done.

Dabo is a busy man, for sure, but we hope that coach had a fun time last night watching some roundball.
