The 2018 Clemson football recruiting class is one of the best, star-ratings wise, in school history.

The Tigers signed many talented players at positions across the board in a class that is chocked full of potential.

One of those big-name signees is 5-star defensive end KJ Henry.

Henry, a consensus top-15 player in the nation, enrolled early and looks to be coming along quite nicely as we progress through the spring.

Here’s a look at his profile, film analysis, and chance for impact on the 2018 season.

Clemson Football Player Profile:

Name: KJ Henry

Position: Defensive End

Height: 6-5

Star Rating: 5-star

Film Highlights:

Analysis:

KJ Henry is the type of guy that can play all over the field. In just the highlight film we put in the article, you can see Henry line up on both of sides of the defensive line, at linebacker blitzing, and in coverage.

He is extremely athletic and does a great job setting the edge.

2018 Impact?

Henry, like his counterpart Xavier Thomas, will avoid a redshirt this coming season. I could see Henry filling in the defensive end spot behind either Clelin Ferrell or Austin Bryant.

I think you’ll see Thomas and Henry play opposite sides and, most likely, factor into the two or three-deep.

Before the season is over, you’ll be hearing a lot more about KJ Henry as he works he way up the depth chart and in the snap count.
