The Clemson basketball team showed complete dominance on Sunday, defeating the Auburn Tigers by a score of 84-53 in the round of 32.

With the win, the Tigers will head to Sweet 16 in more than a couple of decades.

Analysis:

Talk about a perfect storm.

This is exactly what you wanted to see if you were a Clemson basketball fan. The Tigers completely dominated at the guard spot and took advantage of their skill inside. Auburn just was no match for the Tigers, no matter where or when the game was played.

Early on, Clemson had a little trouble getting shots to fall, but it didn’t take long before they settled in and really got it going.

You have to be impressed with this performance as it may have been the best that the Tigers have played all year, at least in quite some time.

What’s Next?

Clemson basketball will take on the No. 1 seeded Kansas Jay Hawks in Omaha, Nebraska on Friday.

The Tigers will have to prepare for a team that has really good guard play and looks to play a little 4-around-1 just like Auburn did.

It should be a great match up and it will certainly be interesting to see what the Tigers can do now that we’ve made it into the Sweet 16.
