Clemson football offered the nation’s No. 1 prospect in the 2020 class on Sunday. Here’s a breakdown of the Tigers’ most recent offer.

Clemson football offered the nation’s No. 1 prospect in the 2020 class in defensive end Bryan Bresee.

Bresee, a product of Damascus, Maryland, is a strong-side defensive end with room to grow as he has two more high school seasons remaining.

Bresee has offers from Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Alabama, Duke and many other schools.

He was named a sophomore All-American by MaxPreps and is expected to take big strides this season.

Film Analysis:

This guys is actually really big. Currently, he is 6-4 and 260 pounds. After two more years in the weight room in high school, he could very well be a 300 pound guy before it’s all said and done.

He’s a strong-side defensive end, but I think he could actually move inside and play in the interior defensive line.

Bresee has great explosiveness and is very strong.

I really like what I see from him and I think he’s got a bright future wherever he decides to go.

Early Crystal Ball:

247 sports has only released a couple of predictions for their crystal ball on Bresee. Most have him going to Ohio State and then Maryland as the second favorite.

I do believe that it will be tough to get him out of the northeast. With teams like Ohio State, Maryland, Penn State, and Michigan going hard after him, it will take a very powerful brand to come get him to the southeast.

Is Clemson football that brand?

They certainly are. It will be interesting to see how his recruitment goes, but you have to believe that Clemson will have a chance just based on their brand alone.
