Clemson football received a huge commitment from 5-star wide receiver Justyn Ross on Wednesday. Ross chose the Tigers over Alabama and Auburn.’

The 2018 Clemson football class just got a little better on National Signing Day.

The Tigers received a commitment from 4-star defensive back Mario Goodrich III this morning and now they have a commitment from 5-star wide receiver.

Justyn Ross, who came into National Signing Day down to three schools: Alabama, Auburn, and Clemson, was expected to pick the Crimson Tide on Wednesday.

Why?

He’s the No. 1-rated player in the state of Alabama.

No. 1 rated players in the state of Alabama don’t go anywhere else other than Alabama. If they do, they go to Auburn. Certainly not Clemson.

Well, that’s not the case anymore.

A Dynamic Play-Maker

With all that pressure to become a part of the Crimson Tide, Justyn Ross still chose to be a Clemson Tiger.

Ross is the type of guy that’s going to play as a freshman.

He’s going to come in and compete right away with Tee Higgins and others, not just for playing time, but for a starting spot.

I think Ross will be in the two-deep of Clemson’s wide receiver depth chart and he just continues the narrative of Wide Receiver U for the Tigers.

He adds a dynamic downfield threat for the Clemson football offense and there’s no doubt he’s going to be playing in the league in the future.

Next: Is NSD just icing on the cake for Clemson?

Clemson scored high on National Signing Day with the pick up of Ross and now, for the next three seasons, you have yet another dynamic playmaker to add to your group of skilled wide receivers.
