Clemson Football: 5-star OT Jackson Carman picks Tigers

Clemson football received a huge commitment from 5-star offensive tackle Jackson Carman out of Fairfield, Ohio on Wednesday morning during the first ever early national signing period.
What a day to be a Tiger.
Jackson Carman, a 5-star 345 lbs offensive lineman, chose Clemson over Ohio State and USC.
On Wednesday morning, about an hour before Carman was set to sign, there were reports that he had informed Ohio State that he would not be signing with them.
That was confirmed at about 11:05 a.m.
Analysis:
This is the kind of commitment that can make a difference. Clemson football was in need of an offensive lineman in this class and they got him.
That, to me, may be one of the most important “gets” of the entire class.
I told Tiger fans a few months ago that I thought Jackson Carman was the type of recruit that can come in and start right away, no matter what program he played for. Little did we know he’d end up picking the Tigers in the end.
Ohio State had been the “favorite” for basically his entire recruitment and for Clemson to come away with him really says something about the brand.
This 2018 class is lining up to be one of the best in school history.

Tiger fans should still keep their eyes on RB Lyn-J Dixon, DE KJ Henry, and OL Cade Mays, who are all announcing today as well.
