ESPN analyst Todd McShay released his updated 2018 NFL mock draft and two Clemson football players were listed in the first round.

All the draft analysts are really gearing up their coverage for the 2018 NFL Draft, which will be held later in the spring.

It’s now during bowl season that many people begin to wonder where their favorite collegiate players will start their professional careers.

McShay released his updated 2018 NFL mock draft and has two Clemson football players in the first round.

Defensive end Clelin Ferrell and defensive tackle Christian Wilkins are both predicted to go in the top-16, according to McShay.

  • Clelin Ferrell

Ferrell, a redshirt sophomore, told the media that he was planning to come back for one more year with Clemson football to get his degree earlier this fall.

I think his intentions are to stay, but he will definitely fill out paperwork and see where he grades. McShay has Ferrell as the No. 7 overall pick, going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

If that is the case, I would think that Ferrell would be leaving early.

It’s tough to tell and a lot will hinge on how he performs in the College Football Playoff, but Ferrell could definitely be a candidate to leave early and would certainly be considered a first-round talent if he did choose to forgo his redshirt junior season.

  • Christian Wilkins

Christian Wilkins has been a leader both on and off the field for Clemson football.

Wilkins, a junior, is expected to declare for the NFL Draft after this season. It would be surprising to hear anything else. McShay has Wilkins going No. 16 overall to the Dallas Cowboys.

This would be a good fit for Wilkins and he would be able to come in right away and make an impact on the interior of that Dallas defensive line.

It will be interesting to see what both of these guys decide and others, as well, as the season comes to a close, hopefully in mid-January.
