Clemson football quarterback coach Brandon Streeter was recognized for a special honor. Streeter was named the 247 sports 2017 QB coach of the year.

Clemson football quarterback coach Brandon Streter never quite gets the recognition he deserves.

On Tuesday, 247 Sports recognized Streeter as the 2017 Quarterback Coach of the year.

Here’s a look at all of the position coaches that were named the country’s best assistants:

Thoughts:

Streeter has done a great job since coming to Clemson back in 2014. Many forget about this, but he came in after Deshaun Watson suffered the season-ending ACL injury.

Streeter was able to prepare Cole Stoudt and work with him before the Tigers took on Oklahoma in the Russell Athletic Bowl. There’s no doubt in my mind that he played an intricate role in Stoudt’s new confidence in that game.

Since then, he helped develop Deshaun Watson and has recruited at a very high level, as well. I don’t think enough can be said about the job he has done with Kelly Bryant this past offseason and into this season.

Many Clemson football fans forget about him, but he has been an important part of the Tigers’ offensive success this season.

Overall, this is a recognition well-deserved for Streeter.

Clemson’s assistant coaches continue to rack up honors as we approach the Tigers’ matchup with Alabama in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1st.

Next: Who will Clemson lose to the NFL at the end of 2017?

This is, in my opinion, the best coaching staff in the country and it’s crazy the continuity that Dabo Swinney has been able to maintain over these past few seasons.
