Clemson football commit Trevor Lawrence is one of the most talented high school QBs ever. His name is being mentioned with some of the all-time greats.

Clemson football quarterback commit Trevor Lawrence is a special talent.

When you watch his film, there’s just something different about Lawrence. He makes tough passes look easy. He fits the ball in tight windows routinely.

According to 247sports’ composite ratings, Lawrence is rated as the No. 1 player in the nation and comes in with a rating of 0.999, just one-thousandth of a perfect rating.

That put Lawrence in some elite company, according to Hero Sports.

There have only been two quarterbacks ever to receive ratings within the 0.998 range by 247 sports since 2000. Those two are Vince Young, who received a 1.000, and Brock Berlin, who got a 0.998.

Berlin put up pretty solid numbers and played in the NFL, but Vince Young is regarded by many as one of the best College Football players to ever play the game.

Ernie Sims, Jadeveon Clowney, Robert Nkemdiche are the only other three to ever receive 1.000.

Other than Nkemdiche, those guys turned out to be pretty special players.

Thoughts:

Obviously, it doesn’t take Lawrence’s name being mentioned with talented guys to know that he’s a stud.

In my opinion, he could leave the Clemson football program as one of the, if not the best, quarterbacks to ever don the orange and purple.

Next: Can Kelly Bryant out-duel Jalen Hurts?

I look forward to seeing him play and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun. He’s going to have a chance to compete right away and it won’t be long before Trevor Lawrence is the face of Tiger football.
