If you look on Twitter for any amount of time, you’ll find a lot of experts that absolutely hate Clemson football’s No. 2 ranking.

There’s a lot of experts on social media, in case you were wondering.

As a matter of fact, they are smarter than just about anyone else out there, just ask them.

When Clemson football was ranked No. 2 in the College Football Playoff poll on Tuesday evening, we knew there would be fallout.

We knew there’d be people claiming that “Miami, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and even UCF should be ranked ahead of the Tigers.”

Here are just a few of the tweets we’ve found from those complaining about the rankings on Twitter.

Irrelevant again soon enough, huh?

“Teams with losses like Clemson and Auburn should be required to win their way back into a playoff spot.” But I guess that should exclude Oklahoma because they lost to a “really good” Iowa State team at home.

You know, I tend to agree with this one a little. I though that Miami, and maybe even Oklahoma, would be ahead of Clemson. But, when you travel to Arkansas State (it was canceled) and schedule Toledo and Bethune-Cookman in the non conference, you’re not really helping yourself.

Clemson, on the other hand, scheduled Auburn, South Carolina, and has played a really tough schedule.

Lose twice? Not too sure what schedule he is looking at.

This isn’t really a complaint from Skip Bayless, but I did think it was interesting. Last time I remember Baker Mayfield playing against Clemson’s defense, which wasn’t as good as this year’s unit, he had a pretty tough time getting anything done.

And then of course StateOfTheU.com is absolutely freaking out right now. I honestly can’t say that I wouldn’t be doing the same thing, though, if I were in their shoes.

Right now, it’s just nice to be a Clemson football fan.

All the haters have their opinions, but the only opinion that matters is that of the College Football Playoff committee. And they say the Tigers are No. 2 in the nation.

Clemson has more wins over .500 teams than any other in the nation and wins over No. 6 Auburn and No. 19 NC State.

Next: Scouting Report vs. The Citadel

Both the Tigers and Hurricanes will get their chance to prove how good they truly are in a couple of weeks. Until then, I’ll sit back, enjoy the No. 2 ranking, and let those who want to lose sleep over Clemson’s ranking do exactly that.

Life is good.
