Clemson Football Recruiting: Trevor Lawrence has big night in playoffs

Several 2018 Clemson football recruiting commits had big nights in their respective playoff games, led by quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Friday night football is a lot of fun as long as Clemson is left out of it.

Too soon? Maybe.

Anyway, the 2018 Clemson football recruiting class is primed to be one of the best in the country. The Tigers have several commitments from the some of the top prospects in the nation.

Let’s take a look at how some of the Tiger commits did in playoff action last night.

  • Trevor Lawrence

Trevor Lawrence had quite the first half for Cartersville in the Georgia state playoffs. Clemson football recruiting scored big when it signed the 5-star quarterback and he’s continuing to show just lucky the Tigers are.

In the first half, Lawrence went completed 10 of 13 passes for 272 yards and four touchdowns. Cartersville defeated Pickens County 48-21.

  • Derion Kendrick

Derion Kendrick scored two touchdowns and threw a touchdown to lead South Pointe to a 45-3 win over Belton-Honea Path

  • U.S. Army All-American Team

Kicker BT Potter, athlete Derion Kendrick, and defensive tackle Josh Belk were all named to the U.S. Army All-American team.

Both Kendrick and Potter play for South Pointe, the favorite to win the South Carolina Class 4A state title.

Clemson fotoball recruiting continues to function on a high level.

There are ton of talented prospects expected to be at Clemson’s match up with Florida State today. That list includes 5-star basketball prospect Zion Williamson, as well as 4-star safety Quindarious Monday, and several 2019 prospects.
