The second College Football Playoff poll will be released Tuesday evening. Where will Clemson football be ranked when the poll comes out?

The second 2017 College Football Playoff rankings will be released Tuesday evening.

Clemson football came into the first ranking at No. 4 in the nation. Will the Tigers retain their top-four spot? Let’s take a look at projections for the poll.

Here is our projected top-10:

  1. Georgia
  2. Alabama
  3. Notre Dame
  4. Clemson
  5. Oklahoma
  6. Miami
  7. TCU
  8. Wisconsin
  9. Washington
  10. Auburn

The top-five, in my opinion, will be just as we projected. Some believe Oklahoma could move ahead of Clemson football, but I’m not so sure. The rest of the top-10, however, could be flipped around depending on what the committee wants to do.

I do think though, that should the Sooners defeat TCU this week, they could move ahead of Clemson then.

That’s why if you’re a Tiger fan, you should be pulling against Notre Dame, Oklahoma, TCU, and Georgia no matter what. It’s not just “win and you’re in.” If Oklahoma goes undefeated, I’m telling you they will be in the top-four.

Do you think that the SEC Championship loser is going to be left out with one loss? Maybe, but it’s no guarantee.

That’s why all of these games are so important.

It would be great for Clemson football if Notre Dame, Oklahoma, TCU, and Georgia could lose here in November.

For now, though, I believe the Tigers’ spot in the top-four is secure.
