Clemson football enters their bye week, nearly perfect at 6-1. Here’s the five most impressive Tigers through the first half of the season.

We’re halfway through the 2017 college football regular season and Clemson is in the hunt for the ACC Championship, once again.

Aside from the loss to Syracuse, the Tigers have handily defeated all of their opponents. Clemson’s success can be attributed to their talent and depth in the trenches. They have the best defensive line in the country, complemented by one of the most experienced offensive lines in the nation.

When you are the defending National Champions, you are guaranteed to get every opponents best shot. So far, the Tigers have managed to dodge those bullets for the most part.

The key for this team is their defense. Clemson’s offense is centered around running the football, which hasn’t been the case in years past. As such, the are not as explosive. In 2016 the Tigers’ ranked 1st in long scrimmage plays, at the moment they rank 29th.
