Demon Deacons safety, Jessie Bates III may be the best defensive back on either squad. He is a tackling machine with elite instincts and a nose for the endzone with the ball in his hands. Keep an eye on linebackers, Marquel Lee, Dorian O’Daniel and Kendall Joseph as well.
On the offensive side of the ball, running backs, Tavien Feaster and Travis Etienne are good for at least one highlight reel play per game. Wake Forest wide out, Greg Dortch is similar to Clemson’s Ray-Ray McCloud in stature and playing style.
Prediction: While Wake Forest has enough talent to keep this one respectable, Clemson will secure it’s sixth win of the season fairly easily. The Tigers’ will never be in jeopardy of losing this contest.
Next: Dortch and Etienne will provide a glimpse at the future of the ACC
Kelly Bryant and this Tigers’ offense will be tested against Wake Forest’s scrappy defense. Dave Clawson’s group is attacking, leading the ACC in tackles for loss with 50 on the year.
31-10 Clemson.
