Clemson football will host the Auburn Tigers at 7 p.m. Saturday on ESPN on national television. Here is our pick against the spread for the game.

Clemson football opened up the season with a 56-3 win over Kent State and beat the spread (40) in Week 1.

The Tigers will now host Auburn in a game that may set the path for the College Football Playoff.

Auburn also opened up with a win, defeating Georgia Southern 41-7.

Clemson currently holds a three-game win streak over the SEC Tigers and will be looking to extend  that streak heading into Saturday.

Clemson Football (1-0 Against the Spread) Spread Prediction:

Current Spread: Clemson -6.5

Current Over/Under: 53

Spread Prediction: I will take Clemson football minus the 6.5. The Tigers are a favorite for a reason and I think the game being in Death Valley makes a difference.

The question truly is what Kelly Bryant can do at quarterback. If he can play as he did last week against Kent State, Clemson could win this game by a couple of touchdowns.

Overall, the Tigers have more talent. Auburn has a prolific running game and an elite defense. I’m just not convinced the SEC Tigers have what it takes to come on the road and beat Clemson. I may be wrong, but I’ll take Clemson to go 2-0 against the spread on Saturday.

Over/Under: Now, 53 is a tough over/under to predict.

If the score is something like 30-20, the score would still go under. I believe both offenses still have some work to do and I think both defenses are some of the best in the nation.

With that recipe, you have to take the “under.”

I believe Auburn will be the second-best defense Clemson will face, other than Florida State, and I think Clemson could very well be the best defense that War Eagle will face.
