The Clemson football team finally gets to play in front of a live crowd this afternoon during the Orange and White game. Here’s a quick rundown of things to watch for today.

Quarterback Play:

The quarterbacks are going to be live in this years Orange and White game, which will make it easier for the coaching staff to get a honest evaluation of each of them. Hunter Johnson and Zerrick Cooper have a chance to make some movement.

Kelly Bryant will likely play, however, he tweaked his hamstring earlier in the week so he may not be as explosive.

Defensive line:

Clemson’s defensive line brought back a host of talent including Dexter Lawrence and Christian Wilkins. We know what to expect from the starting defensive lineman, which is why I am not too concerned with watching them.

I am anxious to see how the Tigers rotational defensive lineman play, such as Xavier Kelly, Albert Huggins and Richard Yeargin.

Perimeter matchups:

The battle between Clemson’s secondary and their wideouts will be fun to watch this afternoon. While guys like Deon Cain and Van Smith have played in their fair share of games at Clemson, they have yet to be at the forefront of their respective position groups.

Young talent such as K’Von Wallace and Cornell Powell will be on display this afternoon. I am hoping to see Diondre Overton assert himself as a legitimate jump ball threat, he has the size and athleticism to go up and get those 50/50 balls.
