On twitter, Carman expressed his fondness for the Tigers following his visit.

This news proves how far Clemson has come on the recruiting front under Dabo Swinney. Carman is right in the back yard of Urban Meyer and the Ohio State Buckeyes, yet, Clemson is squarely in the running for his services, in fact his leader at the moment.

Clemson is going to need help at offensive tackle in the near future, as Mitch Hyatt will likely have an opportunity to leave for the NFL following the 2017 season. Carman has the requisite size, toughness and athleticism to be a day one starter at the college level.
