Wayne Gallman’s best attribute is his balance. Gallman is a taller back at 6’0, however, his center of gravity allows him to bounce off of defenders. Running high is something that Gallman must work on, however, he has success running between the tackles because of his rugged running style.

Wayne Gallman is as tough as they come, which offset’s some of his flaws. Gallman is not a 4.4, 4.3 guy he is quicker than he is fast, but, his will to gain that extra yard separates him from the other backs in this draft class.

Expectations:

At the combine, Gallman is not going to wow scouts with his speed, but, he is not going to worry them either. It is clear that Gallman is not a burner, however, that is irrelevant because he is not a finesse running back. Gallman is a grinder with the ball in his hands, I expect him to test well, especially in the field drills portion of the combine.

So much of a players career hinges on the franchise that he ends up with, as will be the case with Wayne Gallaman. Should the former Clemson Tiger land with an organization who puts an emphasis on running the football, than he will be fine. Gallman is going to take some time to develop as a running back at the professional level, however, he posses the traits to be successful. Gallman makes decisive cuts, catches the ball well out of the backfield, and above all else he is excellent in pass protection.
