Chandler Reeves (OT) McDonough, Georgia:

Chandler Reeves was a three star prospect coming out of Eagles Landing Christian Academy High School in McDonough, Georgia. 247sports had McDonough ranked as the 68th offensive tackle prospect in the country and the 814th overall prospect in the country in 2016.

Best Attributes:

Chandler Reeves’ best attribute is his pad level. At 6’6, it’s not easy to leverage a defender, but, Chandler Reeves does a great job of sinking his hips and firing off of the football. Reeves is undersized at just 255 pounds, but, with work in the weight room and dining hall that can easily be fixed. Clemson does a good job of identifying prospects that they want and then developing them once they get on campus.

Chandler Reeves also brings qualities that you cannot teach to the table. He plays with an apparent tenacity and he finishes plays. Effort cannot be taught and Clemson continues to do a good job of recruiting high-effort individuals.

Expectations:

Depth is vital on the offensive line more than any other position on the field. With that said, I do not expect Chandler Reeves to start in 2017, but, he will be a viable option should either offensive tackle go down with an injury. You can’t teach size or effort and Reeves posses both of those requisite qualities. With coaching and work in the weight room Chandler Reeves will be a solid offensive lineman for Clemson down the road.
