Friday afternoon, Scott Pagano released a letter to Clemson announcing that he will be leaving the school. Pagano’s decision is interesting to say the least, because he is going into his last year of eligibility. Pagano cited his distance from his family in Hawaii as the main motivation for his departure.

At the end of the day Ferrell, Wilkins, Lawrence, and Bryant compose the best defensive line in the country. #Clemson

I do not view this tweet as a dig at Pagano, rather, I think it speaks to the truth that Clemson’s defensive line should still be one of the best if not the best in the country next season. Pagano is a good player in his own right, but, Clemson has built their success on the defensive line through quality depth.
On the flip side, Pagano is a highly coveted transfer at the moment. He has great size at 6’4, 280 pounds and exceptional burst off of the line of scrimmage. Pagano will certainly upgrade whichever program he chooses to attend.

This statement from Dabo Swinney illustrates the genuine care and respect that he has for each of the players that come through his program.
Pagano's departure means we can't afford to have Albert Huggins choke to death on Sour Patch kids.

Easily the funniest way to look at Scott Pagano’s decision to transfer.
