Clemson football: Unity, not talent, will decide the National Championship
The Clemson football team looks to avenge their loss to Alabama in last year’s National Championship in Tampa tonight.
The talk surrounding this game has been about the talent that Alabama has as a whole. There is no disputing Alabama’s talent, however, I think people are overlooking the essence of football.
Football is a TEAM sport. A team is more than a group of talented guys that play well together. A real team is a family, a selfless group of individuals who sacrifice for the greater good of each other. That’s not to say that Alabama does not have that, because they do, rather, Clemson’s culture of family is special.
In this day in age of College Football, everything is sped up. Programs are being run like NFL teams. While there is nothing wrong with that approach, it is rare and refreshing to see a coach place an emphasis on fun.
Dabo Swinney genuinely wants his players to enjoy playing football and being around each other. The closeness of this Clemson football team is evident in their play. Clemson has been down late in games against the likes of Louisville, Florida State, and N.C. State, yet their ability to trust in each other allowed them to finish down the stretch.

National Championship
Clemson football will win their first National Championship as a result of their family culture. Alabama has the most talented roster in the country year in year out, that being said Clemson has both the talent and belief to defeat the Tide. Deshaun Watson is the best quarterback in the country in my opinion. I believe the Tigers unflappable gunslinger will have a great performance in the National Championship once again.
Clemson football had the courage to start, the strength to endure, and tonight they will prove that they have the resolve to finish.
