The 2016 Clemson football recruiting class featured star talent that will see playing time. Here are five freshmen that can avoid redshirting this season.

The 2016 Clemson football recruiting class is one of the best on record for the Tigers. They finished in the top-10 for nearly every recruiting service and for good reason as Clemson football snagged several top prospects.

The greatest part of this class, in my opinion, was that the Tigers filled their needs. Clemson football had immediate needs to fill in the secondary and they did so. They also were able to come up with several weapons at skill positions and several talented offensive and defensive linemen that can come in and play physical right away.

Every year, however, you have guys that are simply better than those in their class. You have guys that stand out and make an impact early on in their freshman year. Some of them end up starting, while others make impacts in the two-deep.

This season, I believe we will see several freshmen step up, not out of necessity, but because of their pure talent, while others-such as linebackers- may be thrown into the fire because of depth concerns and such.

Let’s take a look at five freshmen who will avoid a redshirt this season and play for the Tigers.
