5. Pure Athleticism

The first reason Clemson football will beat Alabama is because of their athleticism. Now, the Crimson Tide have gotten a lot better on the defensive side of the ball in stopping athletic offenses, but they still have not played an offense of Clemson’s caliber.

Alabama, traditionally, has struggled against spread offenses and while they have improved, they will still give up some points.

The Tigers will spread the Crimson Tide out and will force them to guard the boundaries. Clemson will have talented wide receivers Artavis Scott, Charone Peake, and others, as well as running back Wayne Gallman. It will also be tough for the Alabama linebackers and/or safeties to match up and guard Jordan Leggett.

At the end of the day, both teams have a ton of athletes, but the athleticism on the offensive side of the ball for Clemson may be the difference.
