Christian Wilkins

In the Clemson vs. Wofford depth chart, Christian Wilkins is now listed as the co-starter with Scott Pagano. This guy has continued to impress the media and the coaches over fall camp and now he is in a spot to become the starter as a freshman. Even if he does not start, he will be the first defensive tackle rotated in the game.

I’ll be honest: You won’t be able to miss this guy. If you’re at the game Saturday and you look across the field during warm ups, you’re going to be like “Who is that number 42, he is huge!” That is Christian Wilkins. What will surprise you, however, is when you see him run. Even though he is a big interior lineman, he has the athleticism and speed to create havoc on the inside against opposing offenses.

What I want to see out of him in the first week of the season is how he reacts to facing off against other College Football linemen. I also want to see how he reacts to the option-style as Clemson will play Georgia Tech later on in the season. I look for him to create havoc on the interior line and come up with some tackles for loss in his first game as a Clemson Tiger. You won’t be able to take your eyes off of Christian Wilkins because he will be that stunning. Look for him to do big things, not just this season, but in the first game of the season.

What do you think, Tiger fans? Who are you ready to see this weekend? What players will you have your eye on? Comment below!
