Clemson football: The most important games for Clemson in 2022 (That Clemson doesn’t play in)
By John Chancey
Florida at Florida State
When: Friday, November 25, 2022
Where: Doak Campbell Stadium, Tallahassee, FL
Why: I can’t blame any Clemson fans who weren’t paying attention to this game at the end of last season, but there was a bit of drama. Florida State travelled to Gainesville with a 5-6 record. With a win, they would go bowling. The Gators were reeling from four straight SEC losses. The Seminoles looked to be in a good place, but they promptly lost the game 24-21, booking their tickets home instead of the postseason.
I have no idea what the threshold is for Norvell to keep his job in Tallahassee. There are a lot of FSU fans that are drooling for Deion Sanders to become the next coach of the Seminoles.
The best outcome for Clemson in this game is also likely a requirement for Norvell to keep his job: beat the Gators in Doak Campbell Stadium. In the wacky world of college football, sometimes your enemy is your friend.
