The four stages of grief for Clemson football fans

3. Realization, Anger & Frustration

There are a lot of Clemson football fans who are currently in this third stage of grief.

They are either moving from those first two stages into realizing that there are some legitimate problems or they skipped those two stages altogether and are either frustrated or, in some cases, angry beyond belief.

Where these fans throw their frustration just depends on the person. Here’s some of the areas that we’ve seen fans place blame and frustration:

  • Dabo Swinney’s complacency and unwillingness to change, specifically in taking transfers
  • Tony Elliott’s inept play-calls & lack of creativity on the offense
  • A bad offensive line
  • D.J. Uiagalelei
  • Position coaches like Robbie Caldwell, C.J. Spiller and Tyler Grisham

We’re going to be addressing all of these issues, but I’m not here to today to tell you whatever reason you have for being angry isn’t legitimate. I’m simply just trying to take our fanbase through the stages of grief so we can get to a healthy place.
