The Clemson football program has seen success unlike anything we’ve ever seen in its history and fans from around the country are taking notice.
Clemson has become one of the most hated programs in all of College Football and it all has to do with the success of Dabo Swinney.
The Tigers have won two National Titles in the past four years and are currently on a streak of five-straight CFB Playoff appearances.
While the vast majority of fans across the nation want to see the Clemson football program go down, these five specific fan bases absolutely can’t stand the Tigers’ success.
5. Clemson Football Envy – Florida State Seminoles
It wasn’t that long ago that Clemson and Florida State had a healthy rivalry and were both legitimate competitors for the ACC Atlantic Division.
Oh how times have changed.
While the Seminoles have descended to the middle-of-the-pack in a down ACC, the Tigers have risen to the occasion. Clemson has won five-straight against Florida State and Seminole fans have been forced to sit back and watch without much hope for things to change anytime soon.
4. Clemson Football Envy – Alabama Crimson Tide
You knew the Alabama Crimson Tide was going to be on this list.
Alabama absolutely dominated the vast majority of the past decade and it seemed like that dynasty was never going to end or even be challenged for that matter.
Dabo Swinney was able to do what no one else could: Beat Alabama in two of three National Championship match-ups.
The Tigers and Crimson Tide are now vying for the top spot in the world of College Football and it’s clear that Alabama doesn’t want anything to do with the Clemson football program.
3. Clemson Football Envy – Georgia Bulldogs
Can you imagine being in the place of the Georgia Bulldogs right now?
Georgia hasn’t been able to get over the hump and the Bulldogs haven’t won a National Championship since 1980.
Now, they’re seeing their geographic rivals compete year-in and year-out while they continuously struggle to finish the job.
Georgia seems to be a program on the rise, but the truth is that they’ve seemed that way for the past two decades. On the other hand, they’ve had to watch Dabo Swinney win multiple championships and have nothing else to fall back on except the overhyped clout of the ‘SEC.’
2. Clemson Football Envy – Ohio State Buckeyes
Clemson and Ohio State have developed quite the rivalry over the past few months.
The Buckeyes have never beaten the Tigers in the history of their program and things absolutely came to a boiling point after the Playstation Fiesta Bowl that resulted in a come-from-behind victory for Clemson football.
Following that loss, intense hatred for the Tigers followed. It hasn’t gotten any better and the only things that Ohio State fans can fall back on are using officiating in their arguments and saying how they’ve been successful for a much longer time.
It’s nice to have been successful in the past, but the fact that Clemson is dominating the present is clearly killing the Buckeyes fanbase.
1. Clemson Football Envy – South Carolina Gamecocks
We all know who should lead off this list and it will never change.
South Carolina is currently on a six-game losing streak to Clemson and it doesn’t seem like things will be changing in their favor for quite some time.
The Gamecocks have had to sit idly by and watch the Tigers win ACC Championships, compete in CFB Playoffs and win National Titles. All the while, they’ve struggled to make bowl games.
The intense hatred in this rivalry never fades and we all know that the Gamecocks can’t stand the success that Dabo Swinney is having.
Other programs such as Michigan, Tennessee, Florida, NC State, and many others have plenty of disdain for the Tigers, as well.
