RB Travis Etienne has already had a storied career with the Clemson football program, but he is just a few yards away from setting an all-time record.

When the Clemson football team takes the field in the Playstation Fiesta Bowl Saturday night, the Tigers will be looking to make history.

Clemson has won two of the last three National Championships and the Tigers are attempting to get back to the National Championship game for the fourth time in the last five years.

The Tigers have made five-straight CFB Playoff appearances and the program has an opportunity to establish itself as the single-premiere program in all of College Football.

An interesting storyline inside the game, however, has to do with Clemson football RB Travis Etienne.

Etienne, who is just in his junior season with the Tigers, has already set the ACC record for career touchdowns and rushing touchdowns. Etienne is set to leave Clemson as the all-time leader in yards per carry (he currently is averaging 8.0 YPC) and has already broken the school record for rushing touchdowns in a career.

He set the record for rushing yards in a season last year (1,658 yards), but is just 159 yards away from setting the record a second time this season. He currently has 1,500 yards rushing.

The big record for Clemson football fans to watch, though, is the all-time rushing record.

Etienne has 3,924 yards rushing in his career, which is just 43 yards away from breaking the mark set by Raymond Priester (3,966) back in 1997.

With any kind of success Saturday, Etienne will hold the title as Clemson’s all-time rushing leader when the Tigers finish up their match-up with Ohio State. It’s a mark that has been well-earned and will certainly be a moment for celebration when it’s achieved.
