5. Steve Sawicki/BT Potter

The kicker position is potentially the lone place we are seeing a true position battle. Of course, players are always battling for more playing time and opportunities to get on the field, but the kicker position is completely open.

It was announced by Dabo Swinney that Steve Sawicki is now the starter at place-kicker and that BT Potter had been demoted to second-string.

On Saturday, it should be expected that the Tigers give Sawicki an opportunity to kick a field goal. We also could see BT Potter at some point, as well.

Swinney is challenging his kickers, in particular Potter, to get better and this may be the week that turns the corner for them at that position.
