2. CJ Spiller

CJ Spiller is the best running back in Clemson football history.

Spiller joined Reggie Bush, according to ClemsonTigers.com, as the only player in College Football history to have 3,000 rushing yards, 1,500 yards in kickoff returns, 1000 receiving yards and 500 yards in punt returns.

Spiller decided to come back for his senior season and play for Dabo Swinney during his first season as the head coach. Spiller’s decision to return may have been one of Swinney’s biggest recruiting wins in his career, even to this day.

CJ Spiller was just fast, shifty, explosive and athletic. Any time he touched the ball, he could go for “six.” Spiller put the 2009 offense on his back and almost single-handedly led the Tigers to an ACC Championship against Georgia Tech.
