Georgia

For Clemson to play Georgia in the first round of the College Football Playoff, Oklahoma would have to jump the Tigers as the No. 1 team in the nation.

I, personally, don’t see that happening.

I don’t see what Oklahoma would have that’s any better than Clemson. The Tigers just handed the nation’s No. 7 ranked team a complete beatdown.

I think Clemson stays at No. 1 and Oklahoma stays at No. 2, but let’s say the Sooners do jump the Tigers.

That would, most likely, give Clemson a matchup with Georgia.

So, how does Clemson matchup?

Georgia is a hard-running football team. To me, they are very similar to Auburn.

They have some solid depth, but I would give Clemson a huge advantage in the coaching aspect. Overall, I would still expect the Tigers to be favored, but I don’t think it will be likely to see the two teams match up in a semifinal.
